The test system's master clock or reference oscillator (ROSC) is generated on the clock board.

Also, four independent high-speed free-running clocks (FRC), run synchronously to ROSC. The FRC is not an independent frequency and runs at either the ROSC or two times the ROSC.

The system will support an external clock form the DUT to allow the tester to run synchronously to an internal DUT clock. When in external sync mode, the cycle stops until a sync signal is received from the DUT.
